Whether you're utilizing Amazon FBA or shipping seller fulfilled from your own warehouse, Groovepacker can help by ensuring orders are packed accurately and by creating a scanning log of every item shipped in to FBA inventory.
Barcode scan and pack verification (or Barcode QC) makes it possible for your warehouse staff to consitently ship perfect orders from their very first day. Business are built on systems but one of the most critical systems, packing the physical shipments, is often neglected. GroovePacker combines user friendly barcode scan and pack verification with physical inventory tracking, offering a capable and cost effective QC solution for your warehouse. GroovePacker is a small investment that will more than pay for itself every month. As your Amazon sales grow, so will the benefits of eliminating shipping errors, and your Amazon feedback will reflect the appreciation of your satisfied customers.
Let's look at how easy it is to get your Amazon inventory items setup and begin scanning your daily shipments.
With a few clicks you can have GroovePacker connected to your order manager or your Amazon seller account and you're ready to import daily orders. All GroovePacker needs in order to provide barcode scan verification for each product you ship is your product list and a barcode for each SKU. If you already have your UPC / Barcodes in Amazon (often saved as your Amazon product-id) no further setup is required. Alternatively a CSV file can be used to import barcodes, packing instructions and other information.
There's no reason to change how you currently print your shipping labels. GroovePacker can work alongside any of the popular shipping software applications like ShipStation, ShipRush, ShipWorks, Ordoro, OrderCup and others. Printing shipping labels and packing slips directly from Amazon? That's an option too.
The workflow will vary slightly depending on where and when you print. If your shipping software gives you the option of printing your order number on your packing slip as a barcode, GroovePacker will use a scan of the order number to display the order to be packed. This allows your packers to split orders up into batches and scan them in any order they like. In this workflow you'll continue to print shipping labels along with your packing slips and pick lists from your preferred shipping software. Some fulfillment operations incorporate a digital scale and ship by exact weight. In that workflow you'll print shipping labels individually after packing and weighing your packed shipments for exact package weights. Using this workflow you also have the option to print packing slips and pick lists from GroovePacker.
GroovePacker accounts with four or more users also have access to an Amazon Shipment plan importer. This allows you to import your shipment plan file directly into GroovePacker and verify your FBA Shipments. If your FBA inventory is ever lost or misplaced you'll have a record showing the time, date and user for every scan in the shipment. Invaluable if you ever need to reconcile a shipment or file a claim.
To pack an order simply scan the order number on your packing slip and GroovePacker will suggest the first item to be packed. When the correct product is scanned the packer will get confirmation and will be prompted for the next item. The process continues until all items in that order have been scanned and packed.
Once scanning and packing is complete the status for the order is updated and inventory is adjusted. A record of each item scanned and the packer who scanned it is saved in GroovePacker, ready to be called up with the scan of an order number. Because GroovePacker scans items into and out of your warehouse you have true item level, real time visibility of your physical inventory. FBA Shipments, item substitutions, cancellations or other exceptions are recorded and accounted for giving you an inventory count you can count on.
