Eliminate shipping errors with barcode scan and pack QC software for your Ebay Store. Shipping errors translate to reshipments & bad ebay feedback which costs your business time, sales and profit. This is one area where you can't afford to not to be proactive.
With a few clicks you'll have GroovePacker connected to your Ebay store. All GroovePacker needs to prompt and verify each item is a the list products you ship and your daily orders. The product list can be imported from Ebay or via a CSV file. Importing via CSV allows you to import data like including UPCs or internal Barcodes that you do not have stored in Ebay. Editing product data within GroovePacker is easy and can even be done on the fly if desired. The only fields required to scan and verify orders are: Product Name, SKU and Barcode. Product images are also recommended because they are used along with the name and SKU to prompt the packer for each item. Images can be uploaded directly to GroovePacker or imported directly from your either your Ebay store or product CSV.
Implementing GroovePacker with your Ebay Store
Let's look at how easy it is to import your Ebay orders and begin scanning your order items as you pack shipments. There's no reason to change how you currently print your shipping labels. Any of the popular Ebay plugins like *ShipRush, Teapplix** and OrderCup can be used in conjunction with GroovePacker or you can print shipping labels directly from Ebay.
With ShipRush, Teapplix and OrderCup you'll have the option of printing a packing slip which includes the order number in barcode format. This will be used by GroovePacker to display the order to be packed. If you print shipping labels in batches they would generally be printed along with your packing slips and pick lists. Some operations incorporate a digital scale and ship by exact weight. In that workflow you'll print shipping labels individually after packing and weighing your packed shipments for exact package weights.
If you're printing shipping labels using Ebay's batches you'll need to print barcoded packing slips from GroovePacker. Sorting the orders by date in both Ebay and GroovePacker will ensure that shipping labels and packing slips are in the same order. Of course you can include a custom reminder on your packing slip to encourage your Ebay customers to leave you feedback.
To pack an order simply scan the order number and GroovePacker will suggest the first item to be packed. When the correct product is scanned the packer will get confirmation and will be prompted for the next item. The process continues until all items have been scanned and packed. An optional scan of the shipping label can be requested to verify that the correct label is being applied to the shipment.
Once your Ebay order is fully packed the status is updated and inventory is adjusted. Because GroovePacker scans items into and out of your warehouse you have true item level visibility of your physical inventory. Substitutions, cancellations or other exceptions are accounted for giving you an inventory count you can count on. Your updated inventory can optionally be synced with your Ebay store ensuring you never oversell an item or loose sales by reporting a false out of stock status.
