There’s no need to retrain your staff or alter your current process for printing shipping labels. GroovePacker can pull orders directly from Shopline or collaborate seamlessly with popular shipping software applications such as ShippingEasy, Shipstation, ShipWorks, and others. Synchronizing products from Shopline to GroovePacker is as simple as clicking a button, and new products fully set up in Shopline will be automatically created in GroovePacker as soon as orders containing those products are imported. The workflow may differ slightly depending on when and where you print your labels.

For those who already import orders from various sources into an order manager like ShipWorks, it is recommended to import all orders from the order manager into GroovePacker. If your shipping software provides the option to print your order number as a barcode on your packing slip, GroovePacker can utilize a scan of the order number to display the order to be packed. You may opt to print shipping labels along with your packing slips and pick lists prior to packing orders. Some fulfillment centers use a digital scale and ship by exact weight, in which case you’ll print shipping labels individually after packing and weighing your shipments for precise package weights. This is a typical workflow, and GroovePacker allows you to optionally record the tracking number by scanning the shipping

To pack an order, just scan the order number from your packing slip, and GroovePacker will suggest the first item to be packed. When the correct product is scanned, the packer will receive a confirmation and be prompted to scan the next item. This continues until every item in the order is scanned and packed. In cases where shipping labels are created ahead of packing, and orders have been imported into GroovePacker with tracking details, you can optionally scan the shipping label post-packing to ensure the correct label is applied. Upon completing the scanning and packing process, the order status is updated, and the inventory is adjusted accordingly.

GroovePacker maintains a record of each scanned item along with the identity of the packer, which can be easily retrieved by scanning the order number. With GroovePacker scanning items as they enter and leave your warehouse, you achieve true item-level, real-time visibility of your physical inventory.
